Welcome to Altamo Moving & Storage (“Altamo”, “we”, “our”, or “us”). By accessing or using this website, requesting a quote, scheduling a service, or using any of our moving, packing, storage, or related services, you agree to be bound by the following Terms & Conditions.
If you do not agree with these Terms & Conditions, please do not use this website or our services.
1. Company Information
Altamo Moving & Storage provides residential and commercial moving, packing, storage, junk removal, and related transportation services throughout Florida.
All services are subject to availability, scheduling, geographic limitations, and acceptance by Altamo.
2. Use of This Website
By using this website, you agree that you will:
- Use the website only for lawful purposes.
- Provide accurate and complete information when submitting forms or requesting estimates.
- Not attempt to interfere with the functionality, security, or operation of the website.
- Not use the website to transmit spam, malicious code, or false information.
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate access to the website if we believe a user has violated these Terms.
3. Estimates and Quotes
Any quote, estimate, or pricing information provided through this website, by phone, by email, or in person is non-binding unless otherwise stated in writing.
Final pricing may vary based on factors including but not limited to:
- Actual inventory and item count
- Weight or volume of items
- Distance traveled
- Staircases, elevators, or difficult access
- Additional packing materials or labor
- Delays outside of our control
- Storage duration
- Changes requested after booking
Altamo reserves the right to adjust pricing if the scope of the move differs from the original estimate.
4. Booking and Deposits
Certain services may require a deposit in order to reserve a moving date or storage space.
- Deposits are applied toward the final balance.
- A reservation is not guaranteed until the required deposit has been received.
- Deposits may be non-refundable if a cancellation occurs within the cancellation period described below.
Altamo reserves the right to cancel or refuse a booking in cases of fraud, unsafe conditions, lack of access, or other circumstances that prevent us from performing the service.
5. Cancellations and Rescheduling
Clients may cancel or reschedule a move by contacting Altamo directly.
- Cancellations made more than 72 hours before the scheduled service may qualify for a refund of any deposit, less any administrative fees.
- Cancellations made within 72 hours of the scheduled service may result in partial or full forfeiture of the deposit.
- Same-day cancellations or failure to be present at the scheduled location may be considered a “no-show” and may result in additional charges.
Rescheduling requests are subject to availability.
6. Customer Responsibilities
The customer agrees to:
- Ensure that all items to be moved are properly disclosed before the moving date.
- Be present, or have an authorized representative present, at pickup and delivery.
- Ensure safe and legal access to the property.
- Secure pets, children, and personal valuables during the move.
- Remove or safeguard cash, jewelry, passports, important documents, medications, firearms, and sentimental or irreplaceable items.
Altamo is not responsible for items packed by the customer unless otherwise required by law.
7. Prohibited and Restricted Items
For safety and legal reasons, Altamo does not transport or store:
- Hazardous materials
- Flammable or combustible substances
- Firearms, ammunition, or explosives
- Illegal substances
- Perishable food items
- Live animals or plants
- Cash, jewelry, collectibles, or high-value personal documents
We reserve the right to refuse transport or storage of any item we consider unsafe, illegal, or unsuitable.
8. Damage and Liability
Altamo exercises reasonable care in handling all customer property. However, we are not liable for:
- Damage caused by pre-existing conditions
- Fragile items not packed by Altamo
- Mechanical or electrical failure of appliances or electronics
- Damage to particle board, pressboard, laminate, or self-assembled furniture
- Delays caused by weather, traffic, road closures, acts of God, or circumstances beyond our control
Any claim for loss or damage must be reported in writing within 7 days of the completion of the move or delivery.
Liability is limited to the amount permitted by applicable law and any valuation coverage selected by the customer.
9. Storage Services
If you use Altamo storage services:
- Storage fees must be paid in accordance with your agreement.
- Late payments may result in additional fees.
- We reserve the right to deny access to stored items until outstanding balances are paid.
- We are not responsible for loss or damage resulting from natural disasters, mold, humidity, pests, or other conditions outside our reasonable control.
Customers are encouraged to maintain their own insurance coverage for stored belongings.
10. Payment Terms
Payment is due upon completion of services unless otherwise agreed in writing.
We may accept payment by:
- Credit or debit card
- Cash
- Bank transfer
- Other approved payment methods
Late or unpaid balances may be subject to interest, collection fees, legal action, or refusal of future service.
11. Website Content and Intellectual Property
All content on this website, including text, graphics, logos, images, icons, videos, and layout, is the property of Altamo or its licensors and is protected by applicable copyright and trademark laws.
You may not copy, reproduce, modify, distribute, or use any content from this website without prior written consent.

These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of the State of Florida, without regard to conflict of law principles.
Any disputes arising under these Terms shall be resolved in the appropriate courts located in Florida.

Altamo may update or revise these Terms & Conditions at any time without prior notice. Any changes will become effective immediately upon posting to this page.
Your continued use of the website or services after changes are posted constitutes your acceptance of the revised Terms.
